I wonder how the amount of -3 months of Jan stack up against the +3 of July, Snowman would have the data but I would lean heavily towards the cold. Interesting stuff.

Well my guess is that with UHI, it's a little easier to have a +3 month in the more urban areas. It's more difficult to get -3 in those areas in January. I would guess.

There have been 111 -3 or colder Januarys out of 476. The month with the greatest number of -3 or colder is February with 171, followed by December with 142, then March, then January.

That's a nice view right there.

Thanks. Calls can be challenging at times when the wind blows in the phone, but c'est la vie. Hopefully, I'll close on a sale in the next hour. Will make knocking off a noon a bit easier.

Pretty cool day. Jacket no longer on the chair and wearing instead.

As one would expect July has the lowest standards deviation in mean temps while January has the highest (2.2F vs. 4.8 in Jan.). Huge variations in temps in the summer are relatively rare compared to what goes on in the winter.

Is there a way u could get avg snowfall for the stations around gods country and compare seasonal totals from last winter....not trying to rib anyone....just want to kno the departures..thanks

Climo stations? There are none near here. BDL is 60 miles south, has no elevation. ORH has elevation but is 60 miles to the east.

Awesome night for sleeping last night.

Low of 41F at the Morrisville-Stowe ASOS this morning and my car was showing 40s at 11pm last night. The visitors were busting out the jackets after dinner... I love the "wow it gets colder here than it does at home outside of Boston", yeah, big shocker ;)

I see SLK got down to 34F overnight, too. Nice chilly night in the mountain valleys.

Gotta love when we are doing 75F during the day and near 40F at night... perfect weather.

Very possible--especially if I don't buy another couple hundred feet of hose.

Meanwhile, home office FTBTW. Of particular note: grass needs mowing and shawl strategically placed across neighboring chair.

I could sit there all day on a day like today or better yet sleep in a Hammock in the shade, just perfect.

You are right. Thunderbirds. My aunt just posted from besde the runway during the practices. We sometimes go to my moms house in Jamestown to watch from her yard, but not this year.

Perfect wx for it
