No idea what is around since we have no radar, but I just heard one if the loudest claps of thunder in my life. And it was a good 5 seconds after the lightning. Sounded like a bomb. Weird.

The radar out of the DC area is not to bad for southcentral PA.

It did rain a bit here this evening, but still not enough to completely wet under the trees. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow.

We got .24 here so far.

So...where is all this rain??? lol

Radar's pretty active over the Great Lakes. Most of the rain isn't supposed to come until later tonight into Friday night.

The 1.4" predicted rain today might be jussssssssst a bit overdone, methinks.

It's beginning to look that way. As mentioned GFS/ Nam models precipitation has dropped some.

NWS has changed from heavy rain to - New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

I have to say, if we don't get rain tomorrow and Friday, that's on helluva epic model bust. Have you looked at the NAM/GFS/Euro? All showing around an inch or so (or more depending on the run). The SREF about the same. We miss that and it would be like a forecast of a foot of snow and we get flurries.

Good call Jamie!!

Anybody see the clusterf*ck ongoing just to the west in Pittsburgh / Allegheny County? Numerous swift water rescues ongoing, roads flooded out, streams flooding. Wonder if this translates east into the Laurels later this evening.

That's pretty crazy, I expect that PBZ will be issuing another warning to the south of the current one as there is some very heavy rains training in far southern Allegheny and another area of torrential rain in the region where Fayette,Allegheny, and Westmoreland intersect.

Will have to see how things translate into the central counties this evening. CTP took out watches in the Sus Valley, kept the central ones and expanded west to include the Laurels counties. Seems like the best chance for issues is going to be in the mountainous areas of Somerset and southern Cambria.

Yup Jamie's NAM nailed it perfectly. Everything has a lovely green color to it again.

How about the chilly temps? High of 70 set early this morning and we have since dipped into the mid 60's!

I guess we really don't appreciate a dreary, rainy 65 degree day until its been 90+ for over a month straight.
