1.75" roughly of rain in an hour abd 15 minutes. I'll take it.

When i left work yesterday around 330ish, just as i was getting on 81 at Cameron Street it started to rain, by the time i got to the bridge, it was raining so hard you could not see, but because of construction on the bridge, nobody could pull over but they were almost at a complete stop. When i got off at 11 &15 it wasn't raining as hard. When i pulled into Summerdale, it hadn't rained a drop. and we didn't get any rain until about 5pm. Those ridge runners just set up along the Cumberland / Perry County line, we had rain on and off until about 7. We didn't get anywhere near the rainfall you got and we're directly across the big pond from you. I'm not sure if i got enough to green up ny grass?

I too left work at 3:30 yesterday - went from cloudy (3100 blk N Front St) - drizzly 3600 blk N Fr St - heavy rain, road flooding and gusty wind 3800 blk N Fr St (Wendy's to Rt 39) - drizzle ( Glass Lounge) - almost nothing (my house atop Blue Mtn)

Wasn't even enough to make decent mud in dirt areas.

You must've not been around during last year's floods.

LOL

Yes, but it was overdone by the powerful smell of petro based pollutants. I saw so many people letting their kids "play" in that cesspool - idiots.

I'll never forget the photo if the boy standing chest-high in water on Front near 83 holding up a fish. I'd vote shocked if he weren't full of cancer now.

Ugh. My mom would never ever let me even go near a big street puddle.

Kid logic.....I remember at like 6-7 years thinking how cool a flood would be because you could fish right off your front porch.

during the '72 flood, the small crick (creek) at the playground near our house spilled way, way over its banks and was moving pretty swift.. Being 9 my older brother thought it best that i got tossed in to see if i could body surf ( and i could thank god) but needless to say i ended up with some infection my mom had to take me to the doctors for.

So next Monday-Thursday look absolutely brutal. Temps +/- 100 and high humidity levels.

This summer's the worst we've experienced here.

Saw a facebook post early this morning from NWS State College. Finally answered the question of most consecutive days of 90+ at MDT.

10 consecutive days of max temps AOA 90F at MDT ties for second all-time. The record is 11 days in 1901,1953,1991,1993 and 1999. #pawx

We finally had a cloudy, cool day with some raindrops today so technically it looks like MDT isn't officially going to break the record (yet). It's certainly going to start a solid new effort early next week. Most consecutive days or not, its been pretty dang warm.
