Most likely safe to call this one a bust for the main part, still mainly cloudy and nothing new is showing up. Upton also seems rather unimpressed with tonight's potential as of their latest discussion:

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING/...

INSTABILITY WAS LIMITED AT 3PM ACROSS THE CWA. A NARROW RIBBON OF HIGHER CAPE WAS ANALYZED ALONG THE NE PA/NY BORDER. WITH SATELLITE SHOWING A SOLID BATCH OF MID CLOUDS STREAMING IN FROM THE NW HOWEVER...EXPECT INSTABILITY TO REMAIN LIMITED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY ACROSS THE AREA. RADAR DOES SHOW SOME SHRA TRACKING SE FROM UPSTATE NY AND PA...SO FCST CARRIES SCT POPS THROUGH 8PM. TSTMS HAVE BEEN LIMITED TO ISOLD IN COVERAGE. BEST POTENTIAL WILL BE ACROSS NE NJ AND THE CITY WHERE IT IS BOTH WARMER AND THE WAVE INDUCED BY THE SHRA SHOULD HELP PROVIDE A TRIGGER.

SREFS was too aggressive again with their severe progs

The post-processed severe progs actually weren't too aggressive today, but the instability was definitely at least a bit overforecast. Overdone low level moisture probably had something to do with it.

At least it's not completely quiet today... there's a few storms popping up near the NY/NJ/PA borders. Hopefully that's not all there is for today though, the SPC WRF has storms persisting through about 0z.

yea we'll see i suppose. gotta say severe weather has been pretty nill this year so far. threats have really failed to deliver and dynamics not all that great. we'll see how this week turns out with storm chances i suppose

Kind of goes with the boring weather year we have been having in general. (Irene excluded) The cell up on the NY/NJ boarder looks healthy and could go severe any minute.
