TheTrials
lets see if PSV88 is proved right and swct weather is boring, the bottom of that line moving through orange county has some hail with it, does it survive to the coast?

Nope. I missed severe storms by a mile to north and a mile to south today. Unreal how close I got. The rolling thunder was mad annoying. Those storms will split arouns you and intensify east of norwak...
TheTrials
am slightly concerned as sun has been out for the last hour and some of the meso models had this round getting to the coast last night. Havent looked at the spc wrf yet

Snowlover76
The line looks like it is moving into more stable air, and it looks like it is losing much of its intensity.
TheTrials
The line looks like it is moving into more stable air, and it looks like it is losing much of its intensity. i dont see that at all, its holding together, but the lower portion is not warned
psv88
Lol, just as I said that, it got stronger. Lol I think the lower portion will get more intense. Dude what? Who are you mitt Romney? Chill w the flip flopping

Snowlover76
Dude what? Who are you mitt Romney? Chill w the flip flopping I'm going by what I see on the radar. Earlier, it looked like the line was weakening, but now it is starting to look like it it getting stronger. What am I supposed to do? Pull a JB and keep saying it will do one thing even though the current trends have the chances of it occurring are down to near 0 per cent? Or should I change as the conditions/trends change? BTW. it is moving into a less stable environment, so it could still weaken.
ag3
Looks like the break in the line of storms is trying to fill in. Similar to what the spc wrf shows.
IsentropicLift
That line just came through here in Bergan County, NJ. I'm right on the NY/NJ border. No warning needed, it was just an average at best thunderstorm with about a 45 second very heavy downpour and about 5 or 6 lightning strikes over about 15 minutes, didn't even get dark here and it hit me dead on. I wouldn't get too excited sitting downstream of the southern portion of the line. Now I have clear skies and full sunshine, less than 5 minutes later. IsentropicLift
Would have been awesome to have been off the southern Jersey and or Delmarva coasts today, pretty much non-stop convection out there since this morning, keeps re-developing over the same spots. One spot has doplar radar estimates exceeding 6", and its not a small area.
JonClaw
Southern edge of the line seems to be strengthening a bit has it gets closer to NYC. Not expecting much though.

Cyg
Heh...for the second time today my area (northern Union County) has fallen into the gap in between the two storms. That seems to happen a lot around here actually. It is moderately raining here however with some faint thunder. Edit: it rained for about a minute.
