Best storm in years here in Colts Neck as well. I'm impressed. Frequent CTG lightning, windy, torrential rains, awesome skies. Lost power for a bit.

Any severe wind around your area?

another .75 of rain, im near 4 inches over the past 5 days

Crazy difference a few miles make. Here in LGA area, we haven't even received a total of .75" of rain in the past 4 days and today is less then .25". Closer to .15"

Storms pretty much missed northern Queens and Manhattan. Just some light rain and an occasional lightning and thunder strike.

NE Queens got clipped with the first batch a little after the Bronx storm. Your corner got shafted.

Worst 20-min drive from patchogue to holbrook.. Near zero vis, heavy rain, frequent ctg lightning, occasional strong gusts... Traffic was very slow along sunrise and service road partly to cars suddenly stopping at small puddles.. Traffic lights at a couple of intersections were busted as well

HM, recorded a 35mph gust here, so the wind fell way short. The lightning and thunder combo made this storm remarkable. 1.05" of rain. How about around your neck of the woods?

I was driving through northern Mercer and had the same deal. I liked the sky with the orange-tint underneath the base of the storm and then as I drove under it, the sky was like night. The lightning was intense and so was the heavy rain. No hail where I was and the wind didn't crack 30 mph.

Weird. Perth Amboy is to my North, East Brunswick is to my south, and South River is directly to my east, yet I didn't see anything bigger than peas. That's disappointing.

Nice downpour in Douglaston for about 10 minutes as I was driving to the station during it.

Was running behind or would have been on platform for it so I lucked out missing that train and getting soaked
