Not impressed.

Radar looks pretty lame ATM. There's some decent storms over western PA and NY state that should make it into the area by daybreak. FWIW, the latest disco from Upton mentions the best lift will be over the region by around 9z, along with MUCAPE running between 1000-2000 j/kg. They're expecting the storms to hold together. Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, the afternoon. We can destabilize a bit after the morning stuff moves through, and when the upper level low moves closer we'll also advect some dry air aloft helping support more organized cells. The strong NW flow aloft might also help with the shear a bit. I think it looks interesting, provided we're able to destabilize enough in the late morning and early afternoon.

southeastern Berkshire County in western Massachusetts...

* until 815 am EDT

* at 713 am EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a

severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail... and

damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near

Cornwall Bridge... or 12 miles west of Torrington... and moving east

at 35 mph.

* The severe thunderstorm will be near...

I am right up the road from you on the border of woodbridge and clark and we have the heavy rain with distant thunder that cell on wonderground with the hail seems to be moving due east trough sayreville and towards the bayshore region
