Surface OBS show the sea breeze boundary and enhanced surface convergence as well.

man, jfk area getting pumeled right now wuith lightning strikes and possible hail.

flooding is gonna be a big problem there too as storms appear to be training.

weenie dream come true for NYC and Western LI--perfect timing with the start of the storms and the heat of the day

also quick fire nature was great, not like a line that was approaching, they fired off literally in place over the city

still plenty of time left in this airmass to get more. That cell in orange county looking plenty healthy, should move on through

Still ample hazy sunshine in Ramsey, NJ.

This is probably one of those days the areas that see storms early will miss out on the second batch, you can never be sure though. The atmosphere is so primed its going to take a lot to use up all the instability.

tend to agree-but like others have said-we still have the frontal passage later.
