aslkahuna
First high above 50F in Tucson since the 11th and that one occurred shortly after midnight on the morning of the 11th. This morning's low was 24F and we are now expcted to see highs in the 70's by this weekend. Steve

famartin
Our cold increased significantly today with the ridge building overhead... low of -6 and high of 16.
mayjawintastawm
whew- and we were 19/55 at my house while west of the mountains was much colder. Amazing what a mountain range or 3, and a little downsloping will do.
BlizzardWx
Our cold increased significantly today with the ridge building overhead... low of -6 and high of 16. Same here. This mornings low was kept up by some stratus and snow that fell from it so we only hit 7. But the high of 21 was 4F cooler than yesterday. Already 8F and still clear out here so we may bottom out several degrees lower...just depending on when the stratus reforms.
famartin
Today we had a colder start at -10 (-9 at my place), but less fog, so we rebounded to 17 at the airport (only 15 at my place though).
BlizzardWx
Low of 3F here (0 at the airport) this morning. Warming up faster with the absence of fog though.
Polarbear
Hey guys,I know Im asking for way out in fantasy range, but I was hopeful any of you with familiar with reading models could post up what the possible weather is looking like for Western WY in early-mid Feb? Have a snowmobile trip planned in the Moran Junction up through the C.Divide area. Thanks.
famartin
Yesterday was -8/19 at my place, -11/20 at the airport. Today the low was -10 both here and at the airport. Only a little fog the past two days so allowed for more warming.

nzucker
It's been a long period of sustained cold in the Intermountain West. You guys have been reporting negatives and single digits every morning for weeks now. Definitely been a fun winter, although not super snowy, in the Great Basin. You guys have been reporting negatives and single digits every morning for weeks now. Definitely been a fun winter, although not super snowy, in the Great Basin. This is definitely the most sustained severe cold I've ever experienced. Our average low this month is -4 so far. Nuts. Would be nice if we got some new snow, its definitely looking like we'll end up below normal for precip and snow for the month. Not something we need since we've been in a drought, though its hard to think about it with the 7 inch snow cover that just won't melt.
BlizzardWx
3F for a low today. It does look like an inch or two of snow falls on Thursday as well as the inversion mixes out. Still looks like another decent system for next Sunday but models are inconsistent on the strength of it.
famartin
-7 here this morning. A bit milder than the last few.
BlizzardWx
Fell to 3F again this morning. Still looks like an inch or two of snow on Thursday. Models are back and forth with the strength for the weekend storm. It does have some good potential though.

Chinook
Now this, I might actually believe Denver International Airport1953Z Temp: 63F Dew Point: -21F RH: 3% Dew Point Depression: 84F APA Airport 2053z 62F -17F RH=3% Dew Point Depression: 79F Since these two observations was in the same area at around the same time, I believe those type of dew points. Yeah they are probably fairly close. There have been some issues even with ASOS RH sensors however, so if you notice a big difference between stations then one of them is probably wrong. BlizzardWx
Low of 7F this morning, kept up by the cloud deck that has moved overhead. Hopefully it will keep maxes down for the storm tomorrow. Looking at a few inches of snow. Another good slug of moisture on Friday so I am especially hopeful that is snow or zr and not just plain rain. Posters from the west are few and far between, I'm afraid. The only Californian that I've seen is HurricaneJosh, and he spends most of his time in the tropical topics (for reasons made obvious by his screen name )
