Top elevation is 1282 feet but its the only Monadnock south of New England I beleive From the eastern edge of the trail looking east to what I think it is Rockville, MD View ENE from Sugarloaf Hiking up the steepest part of the trail, wisely used all the rocks and used them for steps View WSW towards Point of Rocks, MD View towards Harpers Ferry, WV and Point of rocks and the Catoctin Ridge View from McCormack Overlook on the Northern Peaks Trail towards frederick, MD Boulders Strewn across the mountain everywhere like this At the summit of Sugarloaf Mtn at 1282 Ft View from the summit of train and the Potomac river Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
