Bob Chill
I'm hoping some convection fires and makes this evening interesting. I like cells that pop with setups like this. Lotsa heat and not alot of steering flow. Usually impressive cg stuff if you can get lucky with a cell. It's good viewing on the backside of cells like this too. Usually pretty vertical so the sky clears quick enough to watch the tower light up for a while as it drifts away.

Deck Pic
Once the heat arrives this weekend I think it is probably here for good...we may get a reprieve for some of July, but 87/69 for example is not much of a reprieve...persistence is too strong...very very hard to flip the state of things so quickly....I think we average +3 from June 10th-30th and finish the month +1 to +2..... ended up being a good if not great call....we got there in a bit of a different way than I thought, but 10th-30th was +2.2 and final was +1.
PrinceFrederickWx
I think the point here is that you said that your spring/summer torch forecast was right. First of all, +1 is in fact not a torch. It's above normal but nothing super out of the ordinary. Second, the summer is not over...a little early to be breaking out the champagne and celebrating eh? You didn't say in your congratulations post that you meant the pattern over the last 2.5 years was torchy - you simply congratulated yourself on a well done torch forecast for just the spring/summer period...which is not over. People are just irritated that you seem to be all excited over a forecast that has not yet verified. lol
Kmlwx
lol Notice how I said it was a little early to be celebrating your victory. I was correct...you can't celebrate a good forecast before it happens. I don't really see the humor - my post to you was justified then. Now you can perhaps celebrate but your posts back in June was not well defended. Just saying... It's a little sad when you feel the need to bump a post from June just to add "lol" Congrats. Cool story I guess.
