HoarfrostHubb
Starting to remind me of June 2010.. June 2009 was cold and wet here... I thought 2010 was pretty warm (+2.7) with average rain (+0.1") Was it different for you in Maine?
Logan11
It's great to have real wx to track in June. Of course I regret we had crap to track in January, but that's water under the bridge. Next band of rain set to pivot back to here soon. Drizzle and 52 now. It's a sickness we all have Phil..lol. @Ray, yeah figures the best blocking since October happened now. nzucker
-RA 49.1F Unreal day here in the Monadnocks. My thermometer was down to 48.7F in heavier rain but now it's ticked up a few tenths. Weather looks to improve for my first weekend back in NYC metro, however, with highs in the 80s expected for Dobbs Ferry this Saturday.

Typhoon Tip
Scott, you were wondering if the roof top might get some snow out of this ... well - I wish I had the free time to get down to the shores. Provided it is done so from a safe distance, that sounds like a good show at high tides.

It was above normal precip wise for us here for the month, I think it was 2010 when we had back to back months of 12" and 13" rainfall totals for June and July, Looking back it was 2009 we had a real wet June and July, June 2010 was also wet

Logan11
Two years ago around this date at 6500' in Austria... I stood in snow (albeit old stuff) and made a snowball. Chrisrotary12
I know it's cold and raw out, but I'm enjoying this anomalous storm right now. Totally agree. It's amazing how so many people complain about storms like these and we just love them huh?
nzucker
Temp up to 51.8F here, 52F at AFN. As I surmised, holding in the 40s is hard during midday in June.

Chrisrotary12
It's hard to fathom..but this is the first widespread coastal since Halloween. Unbelievable. 7 months in between Nor'easters. I would have bet everything I have against this fact back in October.

But then again, it is raining at ORH. Still 51.8 with only intermittent sprinkles or showers is extremely chilly.

CapturedNature
Meanwhile the snow keeps on coming in Washington State. I compiled a couple of time lapses last year of the snow melt at Crater Lake. It's usually not till July when the snow melts out there. Here's one of them: A little closer to home, I did note last night that there are still some patches left up in the Gaspe. Still, it's nice to have snow falling right in our region. Current 54/50 here and Rn.
dendrite
Temp up to 51.8F here, 52F at AFN. As I surmised, holding in the 40s is hard during midday in June. Considering it has rarely happened on record I think everyone would agree it's hard. It's a bit colder up here deeper into the low level cold...50F. The insolation is fairly minimal though with the low overcast and light fog.

There must be something wrong with my sensor over in Union at 1250' because it's reading the same temp as me and I'm 600' below it! Then again, I just use it in the spring time for maple sugaring, but I do think it's a useful site so I should look at that.
Chrisrotary12
And in about 990/1000 years..you would be right. I'll take those odds and bet that we don't see it happen again in the next decade. lol. What a miserable week. hopefully we can salvage the weekend. the Euro looks good for Saturday. The GFS and GEFS is showing a chance of showers. Both however show highs in the 70s. which will feel like 90 after today.

These rather cold temperatures will get rid of the bugs. Too bad all of the precip we are getting will help them come back strong when the temps rebound.
