SCHWEEET, mammatus, wind gusting plus 40 with torrential rain, black as heck

Nice! Glad you got some fun stuff. One of the cells perked up right over Moosup.

The winners of the day appear to be Stafford/Somers and North Stonington/Preston with the hail.

I was in the Hudson Valley earlier today. Even there where torchiness lives it was cool. We had a nice thunderstorm move over us in the early afternoon. Very heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Damp and chilly back here on the east slope. Looks like some rain came through here as well. Under 150 days until first snows.

For those at oods ... patience. Signals are growing for heat in the east - exceeding climatological norms. It seems NCEP is dancing around this idea as they mention:

COOLER THAN AVERAGE CONDITIONS OVER ERN CONUS THRU THE WEEK WITH

BELOW NORMAL MID LEVEL HTS. MODIFICATION EXPECTED OVER THE WEEKEND

TOWARDS OR ABOVE AVERAGE AS THE NEG HT ANOMALIES SHIFT SEAWARD AND

HTS RISE FROM THE WEST. ABOVE AVG TEMPS OVER THE HIGH PLAINS

EXPAND EASTWARD INTO THE GREAT LAKES REGION AND MS VALLEY TO THE

APPCHNS AS MID LEVEL HTS RISE. A MEAN TROF PERSISTS ALONG THE WEST

COAST WITH RELOADING POTENTIAL.

Congrats!

Still raining in Auburn. Shots of the Great Falls on the Androscoggin. The Androscoggin drains the east slopes of the White and Longfellow Mountains.

Nice shots!

Somewhat nipply out here--at least by June standards. 54.1/52
