Smoked indeed!

As of 7 am:

RN+

50.7°F

Today's rainfall (since midnight): 3.62"

Yesterday's rainfall: 1.83"

Total rainfall: 5.45"

My front and side yards look like a lake. Took a short ride up peninsula about an hour ago. Did not get far. Roads are flooded. High winds last night, suprisingly, no power outages here.

are you able to snap any pictures and upload them kind sir

Sorry to hear man.

Thanks.. I found out on my way home from Vermont. He passed away in his sleep the day I ran the marathon last Sunday.. They live out in California now, but are from NJ where I lived till I was 7. He was 93. My 2 grandmothers are 93 and 99 respectively and still doing fairly well..so alot of longevity in my fam. Anyway..not looking forward to these 2 days.

At least the wx is nice today

Well like Eric said...both happy and full lives it sounded like. Hopefully it runs in the blood.

It's an anomalous pattern for sure, but should break later this week. Of course this is the best blocking since October....figures.

The heavier rain held off until late evening at my place, only 0.13" by 9 PM, but another 1.68" by 7 this morn. Doppler estimte shows considerably more fell to north and west, less (so far) to the east, and 2-3X my total to the south. No problems here, but Cumberland County might be under water.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.

If my grandmother makes it to 100 yrs old this October and I make it to 40 in November, we'll have something to celebrate lol.

Nice clear morning here. Ran a quick 5 miles earlier and it was a refreshing 53.3 degrees

Sorry to read about your loss Kevin. Sounds like he had a good long life.

Hi Pete!

I know you like this pukey weather...I can handle 3 days of it but I want summer back!

I was happy to read John's post, he's usually not too optimistic in these classic New England June horror shows. Maybe we got the dildo so often this winter that he can't feel it any more?

I try to enjoy everyday Mark, regardless of the weather. It's bright and sunny here right now but cool. I'm thinking a lot about my friends on the side of Denali. They've been living in sub-zero conditions for about 2 weeks now with a tent as the only shelter. They should be making a push for the summit today or tomorrow. Although they are as experienced as they come skiing off North America's highest peak is a dangerous endeavor any way you slice it. After 2 weeks the mental and physical fatigue can cause mistakes to be made. I'd much prefer to be with them to sitting here waiting to hear they've accomplished the goal and are safe and sound. Meanwhile, looks like another sunny hot week here.......NOT.

The HRRR has some good storms coming through the area later today. I can't really find that much of a reason to disagree.

Yeah I was looking at that.

I'd guess with cold pool aloft we'll see a few storms with small hail and gusty 40 mph winds in some.

Looks like where I'll be in Jersey gets some nice storms as well..but earlier..

We'll be a 1/3 of the way through June without a 70 degree reading. No way to spin it, cool and wet.
