However, I doubt this would be an arctic cold because the Pacific pattern and retrograding block are ensuring that Canada is filled with higher than normal heights, so there isn't much of a pipeline for arctic chill. We'd probably see the main cold outbreaks focus on Europe and Siberia, perhaps intensely. I think we stay in a below normal pattern until Christmas but definitely not as cold as today....850s probably in the -8C range or so. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
