bluewave
Severe Thunderstorm Warning now on that LI cell. Quarter sized hail and 60mph winds. That's the best looking cell so far this year on Long Island. It looked great in the distance passing by to my north. Hopefully some posters were in it and they check in soon. SACRUS
gfs and euro continue to hint at a big turn around next weekend. GFS is quicker and stronger with the ridge. Euro tries to keep a weakness and cut off around but both build heights and warmth in the period. Trough looks to persist in the west into the longer range. NYCSuburbs
I know it's the DGEX but it's another signal showing that it could get hot again sometime next week once the current trough moves out. The other models also build in a ridge by this time period with a weak trough dropping into the NW US.

Weathergun
Showers and thunderstorms will be more numerous today, with the lobe of upper-level low moving by. Particularly from the NYC line west. Severe potential looks less than yesterday with more cloud cover, rain, and the onshore flow, dampening lapse rates.
