bluewave
Which is crazy, considering they are flirting with a negative departure month. Just shows how cold and wet the month has been, despite the 5-6 days of extreme warmth. Yeah, the only year that was closest to a normal in June was 1988. All the other years finished solidly above normal with some in the top ten warmest Junes. The heat ridge is so strong over the US that we mostly erased the negative departures over the last week or so.
ag3
a brief break to slightly above normal around the 4th then another big torch Raw text has it above normal right through Monday. Then a 1-2 day period of normalness. But there is rain Wednesday night and most of Thursday. Thursday could be a little below normal. But like you said, there is MEGA heat in the middle of the country with a Bermuda high off the Atlantic. And that heat should be unleashed into our area eventually. Like this heat was. The trend has been to break the heat mon with 7/2 - 7/4 falling back to normal before next surge of heat towards the end of next week.

SnoSki14
July could be a deadly month then if the Euro is right, a lot of power outages maybe, heat related deaths, high A/C bills, several 100+ temps maybe?
