Hard to believe the GFS and NAM lowered the rain totals. We can definitely see 1-2 inches of rain if that squall line remains intact. This is one dynamic storm.

NAM always cuts totals right before event--it's usually overdone until the last minute.

I have a really important question. Will the Mets game tonight in Flushing NY be rained out? It's a 7:10 pm start and I don't feel like driving out there on a Friday night to get soaked in a postponed game. Thanks for your insight.

Good thing that they did have a rain delay for todays game, because Santana would have never had gotten his no no.

JOHHHAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Was at concerts at jones beach tonight, the bay was pouring into the theater due to the coastal flooding and that strong breeze, 1/4 of the floor area was blocked off until the tide went out, i will post pics later

I think that they will miss most of Nassau county and hit Suffolk county, they cannot hit Nassau because of the angle that they are traveling at.

eh idk about that dude, the storms extend pretty far west and i think will scrape nyc- east if they hold together, they are moving NNE, not NE

Never mind, from what I saw on Uptons radar, it looked like those storms did not extend too far west, but after I checked Mt. Holly's radar, I saw the western extent of the storms.

its about to get interesting in the area...i wonder how strong those red and oranges really are

That line already passed through Brooklyn and is about to enter Manhattan... should be interesting to see the OBS from that band. Winds will be interesting as well as the wind has been picking up a bit over the last hour.
