That trough showing up around 6/25 looks fairly deep and could linger to end the month. We will need to tack on some strong positives 6/18 - 6/24 to get back above normal for the month if we fall back to normal or below the last few days. I agree with your overall summer cast perhaps Aug coolest against the means.

Yeah will be interesting to watch the evolution of the next 10 days. Late this week-weekend certainly looks beautiful. We're not used to these pleasant temps heading into mid/late June.

Yeah the radar didn't look all the impressive earlier but the past couple hours have been rather heavy.

Still a batch moving through and some heavier stuff on the back edge in PA.

0.70" of rain in Monmouth County and has been raining steadily throughout the evening. Radar looks spotty now, with embedded heavier pcpn; I'll probably end up with near 1".

why is JFK always blank?

The guy that operates it goes to happy hour for several hours each day, and can't pencil in the value until he sobers up, which is usually very late. I've told them to get a new guy but all in vain thus far.

Given how much rain we're getting, NYC may not hit 90 this whole summer.

Has that ever happened before? The summer of 2009 was also very rainy and chilly, but it did eventually hit the lower 90s for a short period of time in August.

2004 only hit 90 twice all year at the park.

7 times in 2009.

2004 is 2nd fewest of all time. 1902 was fewest with only 1 90 degree day.

It poured like crazy overnight last night. This event definitely delivered in the rain department.

Thankfully this thread wasn't filled with any, but there were plenty of bust calls in the early afternoon yesterday in another subforum

forcing really came together over night.

Clouds are holding tough as is typical. Not sure we get into any real clearing until this afternoon (maybe).

Euro has the clouds holding on all day today. Been following the euro cloud maps lately from wunderground and they have been very accurate.

Let's see how it does today.
