uncle W
Now that is a lot of data. Wow. some of these stats are unofficial...I did the research myself over the years...we have seen our share of cool and hot summers over the last 15 years or so...I'm hoping for a cool summer but not a wet one like last year...I can't remember the lsat time it was cool and dry? 1965?... So I expect the Summer to be hot and dry or cool and damp...

uncle W
Just a brilliant collection of data. Thank you for your incredible work and time you dedicate. thanks...I'm retired and have extra time on my hands...I believe you should know past weather (climate) if you are forecasting for a certain area...When I move to Florida (if I ever sell my house) I'll brush up on their past weather events and records... tmagan
Sometimes when I look at Central Park records, I think maybe post-1900 data should be used (sort of like baseball). The city has changed in a multitude of ways since 1869.
uncle W
Sometimes when I look at Central Park records, I think maybe post-1900 data should be used (sort of like baseball). The city has changed in a multitude of ways since 1869. the building booms of the 1890's, 1920's and 1970's raised the heat island effect...The outer boroughs were mostly farms and swamps...brooklyn was built but in the 1920's...To our west more and more green spots are developed...the heat island will continue to get stronger ...
