CoastalWx
bos+12 bdl+6 pvd+7 orh+9 its going to be close for orh and bdl, real close. Things look nice and cool next week! okx saying highs 70-72 here mon-wed a couple below normal for bdr, perhaps they are waiting to pull the trigger on lower temps? Probably a good idea to wait a day or so, as any break or two could push temps to 70. Down there I mean.
CoastalWx
I wonder if we'll need to hoist the sultan signal for parts of Maine and possibly NE MA?
ORH_wxman
I wonder if we'll need to hoist the sultan signal for parts of Maine and possibly NE MA? GFS wanted to...Euro is more tame but still good rain. Either way its going to be a decent rain event I think at least for eastern regions.

The 18z GFS went nuts with winds for Phil...had like 40+kts there..lol. Probably a little too aggressive, but funny to see.

Amped
GFS Pops the coastal pretty fast. Would be interesting if a setup like that happened in winter. Probably wouldnt be able to keep the high in place due to the ocean being warmer than land.
powderfreak
Be ready for posts like "the sky is brightening up and you can just feel that strong June sun trying to its work! ORH_wxman
And a pic of some blue sky off in the distance through the trees. I think Will missed the best of that in April though...luckily for him. I'm sure I did. It doesn't matter though. The same people talk about snow banks up to their roofs when its going good in winter and how its amazing how cold and snowy its been if winter '04-'05, '08-'09, and '10-'11 are any indication from my time on the boards. Data is usually the best judge of any weather in our dynamic climate. Most people are not aware of the data because we are humans...we like to think of the things that have affected us most recently. There is often "selective memory" when it comes to events and temperatures. I had to show Kevin that about March in New England in the other thread. I have some pretty interesting graphs too on New England summer temperatures. I fall into the same trap too on occassion. But I always look at the hard data before making any drastic claims (which are few and far between)....drastic claims are usually wrong due to our human nature of selective memory. (I.E. I knew summer of 2000 was cold, but had no idea just how cold it was until I looked at the data...70/46 really doesn't change our minds much compared to 77/51 when talking about summer)
CoastalWx
Well it looks like Thursday and more likely Friday before we see anything closer to seasonal, but at least some rain to wash this wretched pollen away. ORH has record low max in its crosshairs, but won't happen of it doesn't rain much.

CoastalWx
Well +2.4 for KBOS. Almost a degree warmer than I thought, but not too bad compared to the interior. My guess is June won't be as warm relative to normal.

CT Rain
Anyone else think Wiz's chase down to DC is a disaster in the making? I can just see him running out of gas and hitchhiking home from Baltimore or something.
weathafella
Euro ensembles show the first 7-12 day spell of below normal in a long time. Bummer that the rains come on the weekend this time but it is what it is.

Damage In Tolland
Appears most of SNE may be dodging the worst of the bullet next week. Sure cooler than normal with times of clouds/showers..but most of the rain looks like it wants to stay east and esp. northeast of us. I wouldn't want to be in downeast Maine or someplace like that next week. If we can have 3 days of 60's and then back to 70's by Thursday..that will be manageable. Bummer that the rains come on the weekend this time but it is what it is. Yeah they do. I think we'll warm up after too, but that period has a ring of fire look. Basically, heat dome to our west so not a complete torch...but maybe spells of warmth mixed in with some convection?
Damage In Tolland
What the hell is causing so much pollen right now? I can't believe the amount of pollen on everything and in the air. Is it the Oaks and pines?

CoastalWx
I will say there is a slight chance the low could be further north in which CT may have more nrly winds and temps in the 60s if we can get sun, but that looks like a low prob right now. Mr Torchey
okx not seeing the disaster at all down here, but I think this is more to my northeast anyways. Might be one of those weeks where i am partly cloudy 72 and Scooter is sheet drizzle ne winds gusting to 27 and 58 degrees.
Mr Torchey
ORH takes the cake with its +4.6 bdl second with +4.3, meanwhile down here in the la tropics, BDR +3.6 I dont think you can get two more beautiful days back to back like yesterday and today, cobalt blue skies and refreshing!
