Brian5671
Mid 70s here and full sun you were far enough North and East...NYC was far enough S and W....narrow band of crappy weather and it was our turn I guess. It has since cleared out and we're up to 74...highest of the day... - so much for the severe threat today though--nothing anywhere.

I only made it to 73.2F in Westchester, down to 72.9F now in Dobbs Ferry. I was doing some certification exams today in Yonkers, and everyone was commenting on how chilly it was inside the classrooms against the forecast of 80 and sunny. moneypitmike
I don't care about temps--just keep rain coming to help the new seed I put down. I envy Chris and others who got it down just before this incessant wet and cool late spring kicked in.
ski MRG
61/56, cloudy for most of the day but we did get some nice sun this afternoon. Another real scorcher with the high coming in at 68. Wow, things not looking to good for those calling for a hot, drought filled June.lol WoW!!!

We just had dinner on the back patio as a family...71.2/65 and mostly clear, nice night although a bit stuffy from the humidity inside the house. HoarfrostHubb
62/56 here. High was only 69F Got the deck (mostly) stained. Late birthday dinner and ice cream cake with the family. Feeling fat. Tons to do Sunday before heading to DC. We might get to meet Sen. Brown, which would be cool
ski MRG
58/58, we just went for a walk and it's beautiful and cool out there. Though this isn't my favorite season the birdsong coming from forest and field is just so sweet. It's great to live in remote places.

ski MRG
Mosquitoes are brutal Oddly they haven't been too bad here so far. I think in part because it's been so cool. With all the standing water around (despite the drought) they should be out in full force if we get some warm weather.

Figured I might be carried away by them this morning on my paddle but only had to half-heartedly swat at one. Black flies also a non-factor. BSE2? You bet! Yeah, the black flies really died off quick. We had a few weeks that were bad but that's to be expected. Some years they last well into June. The mosquitos haven't been that bad, I mean, you'd still be eaten alive if you were staked to the ground overnight but it would take longer than normal. I remember one night I had been at the lake fishing and when I got to shore to load up I was set upon by the thickest swarm of mosquitos I've ever seen. I had a little Ford Ranger at the time and tieing the big flat water canoe on was a trick. Even though I had done this routine a thousand times I lost all focus. The damn things were in my ears and eyes. When I breathed in they were in my mouth. It was maddening. I managed to ratchet everything down and booked out of there. I think you're right, with all this cool, cloudy, bug free weather this may be the BSE2 !!!! Ayut.
CapturedNature
Mid 70s here and full sun It's always amazed me how just a few miles can make a difference in the weather. 71° for a high here. It's cooled off nicely to 60° now. FTW, we were cloudy for most of the day until later in the afternoon and by then, the sun starts to move behind the trees/ridge to my west. weatherwiz
Wow let that be a lesson to heat domes being west. AWT next week. This looks brutal to get any real heat in here or even a good setup for severe wx...there is a pretty potent trough that develops across the US/Canada border, however, it weakens as it nears the Great Lakes... Logan11
Went to a BBQ at my sisters. Mainly all the comics people because her husband does that. ALB comicscon on Sun. Anyway.... nice cool evening, breezy and fell from 69 at 4 pm to 65 around 8. Now 56 here. That MCS Type deal earlier Saturday brushed us, but the vast bulk of it hit south of here. This is my kind of summer. Bring on another nice upper low.
