Doldrums of weather heading into June

.PARTS OF THE NORTHEAST...

A FAIRLY POTENT SHORT-WAVE TROUGH DIGGING SEWD TOWARD NEW ENGLAND

COMBINED WITH MODEST AFTERNOON DESTABILIZATION SHOULD RESULT IN THE

DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS -- FROM ERN NY INTO MUCH OF

NEW ENGLAND. WITH THE STORMS DEVELOPING IN A FORECAST BACKGROUND

KINEMATIC ENVIRONMENT OF MODERATELY STRONG NWLY FLOW THROUGH A DEEP

LAYER...POTENTIAL FOR EVOLUTION OF ONE OR MORE FAST-MOVING BOWING

SEGMENTS APPEARS POSSIBLE. THUS...IT APPEARS THAT POTENTIAL FOR

DAMAGING WINDS -- DESPITE THE MODEST INSTABILITY -- WARRANTS

INCLUSION OF A SLIGHT RISK AREA. THE MAIN THREAT SHOULD EXIST FROM

MID AFTERNOON ONWARD...WITH STORMS EXPECTED TO APPROACH THE COAST

AND BEGIN WEAKENING DURING THE EVENING.

I was just looking at that. It looks good for NNE and even into SNE. For once, the left exit region of a jet. Shear is decent..increase to over 40kts by the end of the day from the surface to about 500mb. I'm actually intrigued in this area and points north. I don't know if CT area will have the dynamics like areas north and east have though.

I'm gone, so lock in wind damage for my hood.

Yeah we need to muster up some instability though. Never forecast severe here with dews in the 50s lol.

Torch or no torch...awesome stretch of weather coming up... Even early next week may be above normal but hard to think of low 80s with overnights in the low 50s as a torch. Those are the best days with 30F daily swings under blue skies.

Saturday

Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Northwest winds around 10 mph.

Saturday Night and Sunday

Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday Night through Tuesday

Clear. Lows in the lower 50s. Highs in the lower 80s.

LOL... I thought this was the banter thread.

The thread names are so "bantery" it's hard to tell the difference.

Banter threads will have the word in the title from now on since some phone users can't see subtitles...ie the SNE banter banter banter thread.

Anyways...hopefully we get more sun this weekend. I don't mind below normal temps in summer, but I can do without the continuous bkn to ovc days. It's still only early June though...we've been lucky overall.

We should try to pin the main weather "discussion" thread. It will keep weather from spilling over into the banter thread and other places?

Just a thought.
