Glad you are well. Is that a heavily populated area? Should be some good cell phone videos if so

Oh yes it is, it happened so fast though, and was rainwrapped, we may be the only ones to have video. Now I gotta edit it so you won't hear me screaming like a girl, lmfao.

There always needs to be care taken in environments such as this, especially when you have strong low level shear (0-1 km), steep low level lapse rates, and very low LCLs in a modest CAPE enviro. Seems like the biggest thing that was lacking today was actually a result of a combo of attributes: relatively mild mid level CAPE (crappy mid level lapse rates), weaknesses in the mid level flow, numerous competing updrafts with not enough CAPE (lack of cap too as Amped alluded). An increase in any of the aforementioned quantities could have yielded a much more sig event. That said this event is still not over.

You now have more intercepts than Reed this year.

:lmao:

I imagine you never thought that you'd find yourself inside of a tornado when you started the day...

Will have to see if we get some strengthening of the QLCS south of the Mason Dixon, ragged still.

Agree - it looks pretty puny at this time. Maybe our atmosphere is too overturned despite what HM posted last night about it maybe maintaining strength given the forcing.
