Well they do, but don't forget seabreeze acts as convergence. The seabreeze front does not extend far inland and it is also shallow. So when that happens, storms can actually penetrate it to a certain extent.

The seabreeze front is also sometimes tilted back towards the water. So in other words, the leading edge of it may be in Belmont, but the front is tilted in the vertical towards the water. If you understand what I mean.

thanks. Invaluable

Watched that cell come from Chelsea and move South and East over Logan. Im up on the 27th floor right on the water front facing North and East. Cloud structure was menancing but aside from a little rain and a few gusts not much. One bolt of lightning off the Logan Tower. Sunny again!

Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the amount of low level shear I'm seeing in these cells.

Thinking this bodes well for hail tomorrow.

Don't know if you read but SPC mentions 1500j/kg, 8c/km ll lapse rates, w 30-40kt unidirectional shear on ALB sounding tomorrow. if that (or reasonably similar profile) doesn't get it done with some wind damage reports or even severe wind, it's going to be a long summer.
