Typhoon Tip
Really bizarre but we're getting NE wind blasts in Ayer with dark strata rushing through - as though a BD from hades were ripping. Not entirely certain this is related to the squall -

OKpowdah
Was that the year when Alstead got destroyed by major flooding, and Rt. 9 from Keene to Sullivan was all ripped up? I didn't move to the Keene area until 2009, so I missed it, but I sure heard stories from some of the locals. Yep! Took a while to repair that damage. I'm pretty sure it was 04 Just called my parents. They said they're at around 5" this afternoon. Golf ball size hail, lightning struck a tree in the backyard. My dad also claims to have seen a rotating wall cloud on his way home from work between Brattleboro and Keene. Always when I'm gone lol
Guvna
structures look to be taking on an elevated look to them as they keep feeding in from the West......haven't even heard a rumble of thunder. Mackrel looking sky overhead, but looks like I'm too far East for any significant weather. Holding out hope....
ski MRG
Yeah--the echos kinds of coalesced south of here. But, totally agree on the nice temps. 64.8/63 64/63, very nice temps. Still have rolling thunder and some flashes off to the south. We had some good close strikes and earth shattering thunder. Love how it bounces around in the craggy terrain here. Yawn, boring. Any snow threats in the long range?

Just had a really close strike here, knocking out the power momentarily. At least with the rain we have a supply of water to fill the toilets (in case people missed it, our well pump blew out today for the really big loss). Wow--another good strike. 64.7/

moneypitmike
Wow--that line west of I-91 has just shifted to straight N-S--probably just to my SE, but that's what's caused the sudden resurgence of thunder/lightning here.
