ski MRG
Sky is pitch black over my head. Lightning flashes and thunder. Under a warning, ftw. * UNTIL 700 PM EDT * AT 555 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM ROWE TO CHESTER...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES EAST OF NORTH ADAMS TO 18 MILES NORTH OF HARTLAND...AND WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. * SOME LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...WORTHINGTON...HAWLEY... CUMMINGTON...HEATH...BLANDFORD...CHESTERFIELD...BUCKLAND... HUNTINGTON...ASHFIELD...GOSHEN...RUSSELL...COLRAIN...MONTGOMERY... WESTHAMPTON...SHELBURNE...CONWAY AND WILLIAMSBURG. Just got off the golf course. Watched the whole mess build and close in on the crest. Almost as dark as night at present. Very strong wind gusts picked up as I left Worthington. It's totally cutting loose right now. Time to shut down for a few.

CT Rain
Looks like nice hail with that storm east of Kingston and in Dutchess County. Hail spikes on both OKX and ENX.
Guvna
Unless that line perks back up it'll be a fail and ill apologize to tip and his.nape Dude...it happens more often than not and you should at least take Tip's experience into consideration. Usually any marine taint kills us. I watched the wind go from NE to ENE driving through ORH this afternoon and then to SW when I arrived home 5 miles S of ORH airport. Definite boundry in the area....does it kill things, or provide enhancement?????? Time will tell.

radarman
I haven't seen as much intricacies along the front edge as with the squall line last week. Less shear all around and guessing the hail isn't as big. As this descends the east slope hopefully it will feed off the increased moisture and (minorly) channeled flow. Pretty solid swath of 45kt straight line winds at 4000' ASL.

SouthernNJ
The storm complex SE of Hunter NY should have a SVR if the velocity data on OKX is accurate.
CoastalWx
I'd still give it a little time for those south of the Pike, but the best dynamics are up north and it shows with the squall line not looking hot near POU. That thing is purely cold pool driven..not too much shear. It's still very unstable over wrn CT so it may perk up as it moves east.

radarman
Good show right now. This cell really blew up just W of Greenfield. As usual... Inflow notch rips right up the Mohawk trail west of 91... Pseudo embedded supercell look forms, and just south the flanks pivots and strengthens through Greenfield, just south of downtown, across the river into Turners.
