Yeah, rolling off the mountains and hitting the juicy CT River Valley and likely channeled low level flow. sometimes those north-south valleys are just enough to ignite low level rotation.

I hear ya, but to be fair, these situations (and radar presentations) are not very similar.

Couplet is weak right now. Looks like a hailer.

More obvious even on loops, there is a boundary ( I suppose the backdoor front?) near the Connecticut River- while storms will quickly become elevated when the cross it, but as they are crossing it (ie, ORH area) that could be magic ingredient for spin ups.
