Jonger
82 in Ann Arbor... That's pretty much been the end of rising temps, so its an 11 degree temp bust with full Sun.
daddylonglegs
All that rain doing its magic for LSE... 89/71F...steam bath... I knew there wasn't a chance we would hit mid 90Fs...
frostfern
Seeing some interesting dewpoint spikes and falls here over the last few hours. It's been as low as 56, only to quickly rise back into the low 60s. Thinking the less mixed area just to the south/west with their higher dews is advecting in on the southwest breeze, only to mix out again. Not a cloud in the sky today. Might be mixing up into passing pockets of subsidence drying.
SpartyOn
Temps starting 2 pop around the area. It this has been painfully slow to materialize. Looks like tomorrow might be the last chance at heat for at least 5-7 days
frostfern
I see a 97/48 T/TD over northern Illinois. There's a big subsidence blob there.
frostfern
Temps starting 2 pop around the area. It this has been painfully slow to materialize. Looks like tomorrow might be the last chance at heat for at least 5-7 days The temperature is suddenly rising here as well even as the wind is picking up out of the southeast. Narrow band of upper 60s dewpoints moving through ATM making it feel pretty dang sticky, even though the temp has only risen to 86 or so.
frostfern
Holland is now at 89/67. The mixing out of the outflow boundary is just steaming things up a lot. Almost like a mini-dryline with lower dewpoints to the south of it.

cyclone77
97/57 here. Topped out at 98 so far. Just jogged and walked 5 miles at the track here in town. Really didn't sweat much due to the breeze, but when it wasn't blowing it was very hot on that black track.
dmc76
Very light pathetic shower to continue to ruin my day.
Indystorm
Earliest 96 degree reading EVER in South Bend. Hope this doesn't point to what summer will look like, although I wouldn't mind ring of fire t storms.
Chicago Storm
ORD up to 96 and MDW 97. Just like in March, it looks like ORD will miss the all time monthly record high by a degree or two.

cyclone77
Looks like Morris and Rockford have the warmest temps so far that I've noticed at 98. Wonder if there was an inter hour bump at one of those. MLI so far has tied the record there at 93. Underachieved there once again too. Almost wonder if they relocated that AWOS sensor somewhere else, as they used to always be one of the warmest locations in the area.

cyclone77
The RAP sure called it on the extreme mixing out of the dews as well. Some sub 50 degree dewpoints showing up over parts of northern Illinois. Some locations dropped by as much as 15 degrees today.
hawkeye_wx
It seems we got up to the low 90s and then held in place the rest of the afternoon. As cyclone said, with the lower dewpoint and nice breeze it wasn't too bad out.

Hoosier
97 in Kokomo... Interesting. Looks like the high will only be 93 for LAF. Kinda surprised...temps just hit a wall despite tons of sun and dewpoints mixing out. Not really sure why but my best guess would be that temps aloft ended up being a bit cooler. Geos
Cooler readings today were welcome near the lake. At the days high of 85°. The trade off was dewpoints staying in the mid 60s though.
Chicago Storm
Nice rally. Anyone come across any 100 degree readings? Indeed. 8F after noon. After scanning through sites across the area it looks like RFD had the highest temp.

michsnowfreak
We got very lucky in southeast Michigan.... It was a real comfortable day. For the 3rd consecutive day, pretty decent bust in forecasted high temps (2 low busts, 1 high bust). Tomorrow looks to be hot...but will we be able to tie or break the record of 92F at DTW? Friday: am forecast high: 84F actual high: 90F Saturday: am forecast high: 82F actual high: 74F Sunday: am forecast high: 90F actual high: 84F
cyclone77
Day I wish i lived closer to the lake. You heat lovers can have this stuff. Even though temps were in the mid-upper 90s here today, without any real humidity it didn't seem bad at all to be out in. I know it's cliche, but the it's not the heat it's the humidity sentiment really does hold water- lol. I've experienced days in the mid 80s that were considerably more uncomfortable than the temps we had today.
