Typhoon Tip
I res sat loop shows /strongly suggests another BD -type push is about to arrive. Convective output/pooling superimposed over cold GOM is proving more than weaker llv gradient can withstand. Would not surprise me if winds go NE and puff to 20kts even in some of those areas where it's over 85F
CoastalWx
Winds really fresh from the ne at home. Front may get pushed sw a bit.

OSUmetstud
Forget about the Severe watch, we need a Heat Advy... 92/77 Heat index over 105 It's a good thing that the dewpoint is not really 77, then.
OSUmetstud
Looks like the cell near the Lewis County/Oneida County border may need a tornado warning soon...some really nice rotation showing up.

ChrisM
I'd like to see some stuff pop SW of here soon...NNY and VT definitely stealing the show why no svr storm watch here?

OSUmetstud
Occasionally you can get a ESE gap flow component in the Mohawk Valley. I noticed that Rome is calm which could serve to increase low-level helicity.
Typhoon Tip
Winds really fresh from the ne at home. Front may get pushed sw a bit. Yeah just mentioned that ... hi res loop suggests a momentous push back SW right now on-going.
ChrisM
Because you live there. Must suck to live in a place that's 64 and cloudy while the other places are 90 and sunny not too far away. Oh...that and the lack of snow, interesting severe, hot days. Man, a weather fan's worst nightmare.
Clinch Leatherwood
Enjoy the storms, absolutely few clouds here, nothing elevating. Schweaty balls type of weather though, a pleasant change from the cool last 30 hours.
Typhoon Tip
I'd like to see some stuff pop SW of here soon...NNY and VT definitely stealing the show why no svr storm watch here? Hard to get severe with NE marine/meso outlfow air mass cutting/ripping SW into the area. Are you reading any of these posting efforts? Maybe it won't get that far SW... But boy, it's a done deal for Scott - ahhahaha

Damage In Tolland
With all those storms firing in NE Pa and E NY they'd better either get a tor or STW up for the rest of interior SNE ASAP.. Wow

radarman
It's a good thing that the dewpoint is not really 77, then. 76.8, my bad. http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KMAAMHER2 Check out the surrounding stations in Amherst while you're at it... South Amherst was 76.4, even Shutesbury on the hill was almost 75.

South Amherst was 76.4, even Shutesbury on the hill was almost 75. PWS read too high dewpoints because they aren't properly sighted and they're located near a bunch of vegitation. There's a reason the official reporting stations are 71/72. It's not representative of the airmass, just your backard. There's a big difference in moisture between a 72 degree dewpoint and a 77 degree one.
