powderfreak
An innocent man never gives up the fight. God hates a coward, you know that. Are you really a coward if you don't have a name-calling fight with someone on an internet forum?
#NoPoles
It was actually fun wearing the dress...it was rather comfortable but I had trouble putting it on at first. The wind kept blowing garbage from the garbage cans and I had to chase it across the field. Everytime I would catch up to it the garbage would just blow again i think that's cause you were drunk...they're not that complicated...
HoarfrostHubb
We can all police ourselves... so Pete, I do enjoy your enthusiasm but may I suggest not writing 6 paragraph name-calling or personal attacks posts everytime someone tries to "poke you with sticks"? Just let it be. Let it be. I know Jerry sort of suggested it and you said you can't just roll over and play dead... but there are ways to handle some of it without the tirades. Just move on... post here on the weather side and don't have incidents with the mods or other posters and I'm sure everything will work out. I still can't see why you would want to post in OT. This is only a suggestion if you truly want to post in OT, I'd just let any "pokes" roll off your shoulder while you strap into your skis and enjoy the fresh snow in GC. Current OT threads at the top... 1.Battle of the Idiots (not an SNE thing!!!) 2.RIP Jon Lord 3.Fios 4.How Do You Deal With Horses Flying Why do I even post there lately... see what happens when you are unemployed
weathafella
You will die employed like me, sad isn't it. I want to go to every major league park in one year. Go to Valdez though in Mid Jan you deserve it. Nah...the end is coming into view. But health is the x factor. A 13 yo at home means I may have to eek out another 10 years but positively after that I'm done. Funny about envy major league park...been in my bucket st for years...lol. CT Rain
Norfolk, CT gets more than he does because of the LES contribution...his area retains snow pack a tad better than Norfolk though. Disagree 100% Norfolk is higher in elevation and is on the spine of the ridge line there. They do very well at snow retention... much much better than anyone else in the state. The areas like Norfolk, Colebrook, and Hartland have the best snow retention in the state and average substantially more than Kevin. edit: oops!! I thought you were talking about Kevin, not Pete lol. I dunno...they are def the best in the state of CT no doubt...but they are almost always melted out before the northern east slope of the Berkshires. They probably average a good 10" more per year though.

ChrisM
Norfolk averages about 94" of snow per year. They are in a special orographic area that benefits from LES and excels in easterly flow as well. I meant MBY. It sits at just under 1k to the east of the Naugatuck Valley which I think is about 500' so we sharply rise 500' in about a third mile horizontal distance. I live at the most top left part of this pic

ChrisM
Harwinton does a bit better than Kevin... though not by much. Yes, much less than Norfolk. I feel like I get 2-3" more than him in every storm...we do much better in marginal setups also like Octobomb. I had 22" while he had 12. lol Norfolk seems to only beat me by 2-3" every storm too except they nickel and dime their way up a lot more often it seems. Probably snows a couple inches there all the time while I'm getting nothing. Cool stuff to have so close.
