NECT
Chicopee has a Starby's, Panera, and Walmart all within a couple-hundred-yard radius. Average annual snowfall is kind of meh, though. Chicopee is in the flatlands. Doesn't count.

ski MRG
Just finished an awesome round at Crumpin Fox. Beautiful course. Pleasantly warm and breezy. Nice.
larvay
Chicopee is in the flatlands. Doesn't count. Actually, much of Chicopee sits on a "plateau" at least 100' above the level of the CT River. I actually once stood outside my sister's house in the Willimansett section of town (flooded in '38) amid merely wet trees after a spring day of light snow in marginal temps, and was able to see white-coated trees a half mile away at the top of the hill. NECT
So what's more likely... Kev says it's fooking hot, and Pete agrees. Anyone in SNE complains about the lack of snow, and Pete agrees. The guy I saw mowing his lawn in a speedo (seriously) when I drive through Tolland wasn't Kevin. It was strange - I saw a tanned, oiled up body pushing a lawn mower. I'm just thankful my kids were not with me.

Mr Torchey
Sitting on the back deck having my coffee looking at all the bathing suits and towels, brings back memories as a kid walking outside to get my suit looking so forward to getting to the beach whether at home or on vacation! That sweet smell of humidity and heat early in the am as the fire gets ready to once again envelope the landscape. What memories will be made today at the beach? I cant wait to find out!! CoastalWx
There is an email going around about how the GFS MOS has performed abysmal in some of the areas getting extreme heat. I know MOS busted high here, but I thought that was interesting, NCEP engineers are thinking is has something to do with evapotranspiration and causing temps to be too low. Sugarloaf1989
It got up to 85.6F here today before the rain moved in and dropped temps back into the middle 60's. I am taking a break from cutting the grass and it's sunny and 74.1F. I am going to do some yardwork tomorrow and enjoy the high 70's heatwave.
