The lightning is NW of me, maybe the Dulles cell?

i think that's too far.. have had a few loud rumbles lately. it must be anvil stuff or maybe some positive strikes? i see dots close on the lightning array.

i think they are positive strikes. just had another here and i saw a very bright flash... they are once every 5-10 min or so with a burst or two of more. i was up in tenleytown (where the radio towers are) earlier.. should have camped out.

for the 500 chart i'd say this one counts as a positive on the early season. i actually think we will have a pretty good one as well.. late june into july peak? wind i guess main threat. sne looks pretty nice tomorrow much better jet dynamics.

Jason and I found this guy chilling just west of King William, VA:

A screen grab from shortly before that when Jason and I were punching through the (rain) core:

The whole meso was rotating, and the storm had nice striations and an inflow band :) The wall cloud wasn't doing much rotation, but it did have a very noticeable updraft.

More screen grabs and video stuff tomorrow!

EDIT: Grabbed a still from my GoPro footage:
