61/61, we came close here with a high yesterday of 78. Nice to see all those cool high temps coming later in the week. 60's are perfectly acceptable high temps. The days are flying by and before very long the days will be getting shorter. Should see some good boomers overnight.

Once again your area had around a +13 on the day, congrats!

Once again failed to reach 80, once again failed to break a sweat while walking 18. Once again you're making up numbers.

I broke into a sweat yesterday, but that was due to cutting and splitting a cord of wood. So, I guess that doesn't count.

Good shawl weather this morning--62.9/53 with a cool east wind, back to overcast.

No sign of the sun here. Haven't heard from Grandpa Bob for a while. Either his cell phone died or the bears ate him.

LOL

mpm and hippie pete, orh once again had the highest departure yesterday at +13. I really would like a summer around average, but I have to admit it would bring me pleasure to see the warmest summer ever sizzle gods country day after day.

But hey, its been cool................13 out of the last 15 months above normal at ORH and the two that were, 0.1 below LOL LOL.

They are good at making stuff up, its funny. Now 65 is shawl weather LOL

Socks--I didn't realize you were leaving NH. What are you going to be doing? As far as the Bronx goes, I went to Fordham and there for about 6 years. It truly is GC--er, maybe not. Riverdale is a great area. Also, check out Woodlawn. I was there for a few years--great spot. You've got the "Irish Mile" on Katonah Ave. Pubs galore. You might show up at the next GT with a brogue, though.

Looks like we had an 80's fail at the Pit over the weekend, ftw. Topped out at 76.2 yesterday. Looks like we're sub-80 for the duration of the current forecast. Typical summer. Hoping for some good storm action over the next 24-36 hours.

I got a teaching fellowship with NYC Public Schools...they're going to cover the tuition for my Masters at City College, and the salary/benefits for teaching in NYC are pretty awesome, far more than I could make up here working at private schools. As much as I liked the idea of a rural school for special needs kids as we have here at Hampshire Country School, it was very long hours working at a boarding program, difficult students, and low pay. Most of my friends and family are from around NYC metro so I figured I should make the move to teaching there. I start training June 11th so I am down to about a week and a half left here in the Monadnocks.

Woodlawn sounds like a neat area to live. It's near Van Cortlandt Park which means there is at least some wilderness nearby. I hear they have some cool urban forestry stuff going on there so it might be interesting to explore. I have to wait to see what school I pick to work at, and then I will make a call about apartments. Probably won't happen until October or November after living at home for a few months...

Anyway, we did make it into the 80s yesterday. NWS has severe storms 20% with a high of 74F here, so we'll see what materializes. From what everyone has said, the best action will probably be west.

Love the way you spin our comments to reflect relative to norm. We can be above average here and still be very comfortable. As far as shawl weather goes, I think you must have missed last summer's threads.

Is it sunny down in Richmond I mean BDR? Wow, 3 for 3. Not bad. Looks like west winds aloft and subsidence eroding marine layer. Better than any guidance had. Wish casting FTW?

You and philly cheese steak sent a lot of hurty hurtz my way on friday, real men would admit defeat and apologize for spiking the ball before the game started.

Enjoy the day.

God bless the United States of America

Thank the front getting pushed far enough south. You know how easy it is for fog.

Time for bloodies, walk to the end of the street and watch the parade..............then off to cougar town, mike and pete, throw on an extra jacket today, should be really cold, probably a ++++10 on the day, below normal.

But yes the weekend wx was great....better than I thought a few days ago.
