CoastalWx
"disaster" might be a little strong--though the timing with the Memorial Day weekend my merit it. I'm hoping tomorrow can be reasonably nice/rain-free. I'd like to knock off early and tackle mowing the lawn to have the weekend for other pleasures (cutting firewood, e.g.). Clouds and rain = disaster.....even if it isn't constant. Hopefully it's not like the euro.

Of course, sunny and cool (like you get in August with the first hints and teases of fall) would rock. But, I think I can take this disaster over hot--especially if I get the lawn mowed before it. Well luckily the GFS isn't that bad...but it's concerning to see Sunday and Monday might not be all that great. I'll be up north, which actually may be the better spot. Maybe Kevin should stay there all weekend..lol.

While it might not be a disaster weekend, it will fall far short of stellar for many. Meanwhile, the horrific torcherous marathon looks delightfully cool for Kevin. Mr Torchey
Memorial Day Weekend looks awesome, typical summer pattern, sun and storms inland, seabreeze keeps the coast dry and safe, just like yesterday. Viva la coast
Mr Torchey
Looks like our next east coast gale is just getting her act together east of the florida straights. Models have decent lp just off the coast down there this weekend, some prius type stuff.

Viva la coast That's what I was thinking too LL. Scooter are you worried about a disturbance riding along the front to make it a but more rainy/gloomy for sun/mon? Scooter are you worried about a disturbance riding along the front to make it a but more rainy/gloomy for sun/mon? Yes, anytime I see a warmfront to our south, it always makes me nervous. Still got time to work on it...the GFS wouldn't be too bad verbatim...but east winds with a warm airmass aloft always means to be aware of possible fog too. weatherMA
LOL at you young Turks acting like its brutal out there. My ladies team just played a seven inning two hour marathon in a 28-21 win with rockets getting hit all over the field, chasing balls and running bases. Not a single one said after the game they were tired or complained about the heat. It was very comfortable out. I had a sweatshirt on and was very comfortable. No swamp ass night at all. Suck it up boys. Whatever, if you think temps in the 60's , even humid 60's, is brutal then I don't know what to say. Yesterday was not even close to uncomfortable. You need to swing a hammer on a roof in 90+ humid weather for 8-10 hours and then get back to me on uncomfortable. It's no wonder the country is going down the tubes. Toughen up. LOL, never said it was brutal. I just think that 67/64 is not accurately described as a "cool" night. That's all.
HoarfrostHubb
I'd like to send some of you guys to Miami in August so I could watch you wilt like a coleus in Death Valley. I spent 10 days in August exploring Orlando and Daytona last summer. That was a treat. 95/72 pretty much the norm down there. Daytona was not nearly as bad. tamarack
LOL, never said it was brutal. I just think that 67/64 is not accurately described as a "cool" night. That's all. Depends on time of year. In late July, that could qualify as "cool", especially for SNE. In May, even late May, not so much. Although we see dews above 60 in almost every May here in the foothills, it seems much more sticky now that it would a month or two later. In a different way, last Saturday was the same situation. Low 80s with dews under 50 would be a perfect July day, but I found it hot while working in the garden.

I see your point if we're talking with respect to climo, 67/64 would be a "cool" night for July, but I wasn't really comparing to climo. In January would you call 28/25 and overcast a "warm" night because its well above average? I guess you might, but it depends on which guidelines of "cool" or "warm" you're using. It was MPM and MRG trolling and trying to spin conditions. Any dewpoint over 60 is humid or muggy/anything over 68 -70+ is oppressive no matter what time of year.A 67/64 is not cool..There's nothing cool about it..even grandmother's at a soccer match in the evening would have on shorts and a t shirt.. 67/30 is different..The added moisture in the air from the high dews makes the feel to the skin much different than a low/dry airmass

CoastalWx
tough forecast sun/mon. at least sat looks good Hopefully some sort of MCS can rip south into NJ and take the cloud debris with it on Sunday...but that dumb tropical system will try to raise heights and keep the flow more wrly I think..allowing for mid level crap. Yeah I know. I just worry about some crappy wx in parts of SNE. I'll be up north, but still....a BKN deck at 10000ft sucks during the day..lol. I suspect we'll things oscillate a bit, but Sunday and/or Monday may not be nice for parts of the area.
