Damage In Tolland
I dunno Kev' ... This whole heat episode looked a lot better originally than has evolved over the last 3 or 4 days worth of model evolution ... teleconnector mode changes et al... Transient and/or interrupted warmth is probably the way to go here. Agreed its not a multi day torch , just one day on Tuesday then fropa but still above normal

Typhoon Tip
This 108 hour 12z oper GFS panel says it all, and says it quite simply .... it is next to impossible to drill a heat wave up the eastern seaboard with a massive -NAO ridge anomaly near Greenland. moneypitmike
Reached 81.6 here but had more sun than u and MRG did up there in the Matterhorn of Massachusetts. The run was uncomfortable as Kevin suggested (but running for me is always uncomfortable). At least the mugginess was a cool one. That changed mid-way through though when the sun broke out--pretty strong these days. We've now torched to 71.3/62 Edit: I can almost hear the grass growing.
