Hey Dude, Hey Hugo, planning a trip to New England? You MA guys sure take a keen interest in our threads. Very flattering. Have you been the ones complaining about temp talk in a weather thread?

Nope. I was just poking around to see if I could find some exciting weather somewhere. Looks like SNE is having an even more boring stretch than the MA.

BTW, I'm at a loss to see why temperature is off limits in a wx-thread. It's about all we have to talk about unless we want to start comparing clouds. That said, I haven't read the "offending" posts, so maybe I'm missing something.

Cool, it's great to love where you live. I have a friend that just moved to SC and he's not digging the heat. This is the weather/obs only thread. I'd love to talk to you and the Dude and all of my MA friends but it'll have to be in the banter thread. 62/62 with -rn.

NYC on south is dixie to me but thanks for the tip. Pouring rain here now. Tell your friends they can talk to me in the banter thread. Been hot down there yet?

For your reference Brian.

Man I guess the models are right with the lack of QPF. I've never seen an ULL to the south that seemed to be moisture starved or lack dynamics, but this one does for whatever reason. Look at the radar to the south. Granted a good chunk of the beam is probably missing some of the rain...but it doesn't look healthy at all. I didn't really buy the dry look to models, but maybe they'll be right. They missed the heavy rains in NJ and NYC earlier...although that was hinted. Maybe the Cape gets some rains later..hopefully up to my backyard.

What a flip in 12hrs on the euro op...almost the whole run has the boundary south of us. Next Tue goes from a scorcher to afternoon 40s in W MA...lol. The ens aren't as extreme, but they have a cooler look as well.

HPC says it's a PHAIL..Torch is on!!

FARTHER EWD... BY THE

LATTER HALF OF THE PERIOD THE 00Z ECMWF SHOWS LOWER SERN

CANADA/NERN CONUS HGTS ALOFT THAN OTHER SOLNS OR ECMWF

CONTINUITY... BRINGING THE MEAN SFC FRONTAL ZONE OVER THE EAST

WELL SWD OF CONSENSUS.

I haven't read the discussion, but the excerpt you posted does not indicate that "HPC says its a PHAIL". What it does say is its the outlier. Wrong? Perhaps. But, the excerpt you posted doesn't state what you say it says.

Just saying.

I know it can be difficult..but sometimes you have to look outside the box..and extrapoalte the meaning of things..what they are saying is the Euro is likely wrong as it is much farther south than any other guidance or ensembles and should not be used. In essence it says they are tossing it

It's a good thing you're in sales and not a lawyer.

I'm not saying the EC's right, but the excerpt you posted does not say what you says it says. Perhaps it says so in the full discussion and you didn't post that line. Does this mean the KFS and GFS are now in synch? :)

Pretty big bust on this rain event. Most places under .25 AWT..Models sucked

Very unorganized and weak rain shield with this upper low, thinking Alberto probably stole some moisture from the system. A storm like this originating off the coast should have had a lot more water with it. These very spotty showers continue to weaken as they pivot in, I would ride the GFS for the next 10 days..........sunny humid afternoon tstorms, hot later this weekend into next week.

Still got a good batch of rain to come into ern MA. Things should work out ok I think, except for screw zones that I mentioned yesterday.

Euro ensembles not as cool as op, but torch is muted Sunday-Tuesday next week. Looks wonderful for the race Sunday. AS SCF thought.

Well a -3 yesterday or BOS, looks like my +1.5 threshold for the month of May is probably a pretty good call. It will probably be warmer than that..but not bad.

Congrats, on doing your job:) I think I might go design a new perennial garden, plant it, then pat myself on the back for doing my job!:) Ha ha, good work scooteroo, however the month is far from over. I have 4.6 for beantown, looks like orh and bdl have a much better shot at that. Your forecasts have been spot on lately!
