buckeyefan1
not much of anything around here. Looks like central SC has the best concentration, other than scattered single cells here and there. I was under a warned cell for some heavy rain and pea sized hail Picked up a quick .

Brick Tamland
Yesterday was a bust around my way. I had one rumble of thunder and no rain. There was a good storm with hail just to the north of me last evening. It seems the storms were very isolated. That's the bad thing about all the talk about severe storms and having a watch and nothing happens. People start to tune it out and might not listen the next time when there really is something. But it's better to be safe than sorry. Maybe we'll get some storms today. I'm ready for some dry weather for a while, though.

Wow
Really nice storm around 2 AM.. tons of thunder and lighting with a long steady downpour.. lasted a good 30-40 minutes non-stop. Had to pick up at least another inch. I wish I had a rain gauge. You'd think I would.
Lookout
CAE has picked up a much needed .40 for the past two days, *fingers crossed* another round finds it's way to mby Hopefully those same ingredients are in the right spot later this summer to steer a sweet tropical system this way to help with these negative departures Maybe I'm wrong but it seems me and you are pretty much it the same club (although precip total analysis shows your area getting quite a bit more than me...it shows me getting virtually nothing compared to everyone else ), are you getting nearly as much as most others? Not to be crude or disrespectful and I hope I don't offend you since I'm talking to a true lady but maybe me and you should start a screwed up the ass club I invite others who have been given the same treatment to join the club too. I need someone to join me because I've been totally abused, ignored, and skipped for months...while areas nearby get much much more. Can you tell I'm annoyed with everyone else getting 1, 2, 3, 4 inches and every time there is a big rain event forecasted, i get virtually nothing??? Just like old times here. I was lucky for a while but now I"m back to the "lookout screw zone" being in full effect. To say this is annoying, aggravating, maddening, and frustrating is being extremely tame lol. And now another long period of try weather coming up...just what I need.... :axe:

Especially since you have been around so long. Hell, if you don't want to spend money on it, at least get some sort of container to measure the rainfall lol. At this point, after almost a decade of drought and year after year of the "hottest summer ever" the only thing I can do is laugh at how absurd/crazy it has become and hope that one day things will return to "normal". Ten or more inches, I think you got! And me? One inch. One measly inch! And that at the very end...while you and your fellow everybody elses, chortled and hooted about what a great couple of winters!! You want to know about being annoyed with everyone else getting hammered while the screw is on for you Try being in a drought, rain and snow, while Lookout sits in his screw zone getting blasted by tons of snow, lol. I won't feel sorry for you 'til the memory of that band of snow that hung over you all afternoon, fades Well, ok, maybe I'll comiserate with you some..... You and everyone else in N. Brick Tamland
From the RAH discussion this morning. Wonder if we'll see another watch for this afternoon and evening? FOR THE REST OF TODAY: THE STRONGEST DYNAMIC FORCING ALOFT WILL SPLIT NC...WITH THE BULK OF THE NORTHERN STREAM ENERGY PASSING WELL TO THE NORTH THROUGH THE EASTERN GREAT LAKES...AND THE SOUTHERN STREAM ENERGY HOLDING OVER THE SOUTHEAST COAST. THE ELONGATED PARENT UPPER TROUGH...AND ASSOCIATED LOWER-MID LEVEL TROUGH AXES...WILL NONETHELESS DRIFT EASTWARD ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN NC THIS AFTERNOON. THIS SHOULD SUPPORT SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STORMS...PARTICULARLY OVER THE EASTERN PIEDMONT AND COASTAL PLAIN WHERE DEEP MOISTURE IS FORECAST TO BE MORE ABUNDANT IN SW FLOW ALOFT AHEAD OF THE AFOREMENTIONED TROUGHS...AND WHERE LCL/LFC HEIGHTS LOWER OWING TO MORE PLENTIFUL LOW LEVEL MOISTURE CHARACTERIZED BY SURFACE DEWPOINTS AROUND 70 DEGREES AT 07Z. THE BELT OF MODEST MID LEVEL FLOW ON THE EASTERN EDGE OF THE TROUGH AXIS ALOFT WILL DRIFT EAST TOWARD THE COAST WITH TIME...SO A CONDITIONAL PROBABILITY OF MULTI-CELL STORM ORGANIZATION THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON SHOULD TRANSITION TO STRONG TO SEVERE PULSE-TYPE STORMS THROUGH SUNSET. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 80S EXPECTED... AND OF COURSE MODULATED BY CONVECTION AND OUTFLOW.
