CT Rain Posted May 10, 2012 Share Posted May 10, 2012 I agree with you...the mid levels can still get chilly into the middle of spring and the increased sun angle over October is what skews those daily means so much higher. There's been a few decent snow events that affected lower elevations well into May before. Someone already mentioned 1945 and then there was the late May event in 2002. It's difficult for me to give either one an edge. Comparing events on a regional scale is just such a challenge. I struggle to compare events just within the borders of Connecticut. Unless you fix a domain comparisons are really challenging to make. I was actually just thinking the other day about where I would put October 29, 2011 in the greatest storms of CT history list.
