It was a very strong heatwave across south Italy,the Balkans and all of Greece.The highest maximum in Greece (and Europe for that matter) during the June 2007 heatwave was recorded in the HNMS AWS of Nea Filadelfeia,Athens with 47.5C or 117.5F ,followed by 47.0C or 116.6F in Amendola,Italy recorded by the Aeronautica Militare station.
