NEGa
I drove into the wedge coming home this afternoon up GA 400. I was north of Cumming in Forsyth County and the temp said 55 on my truck. In exactly 2 miles the temp dropped to 39 with thick fog. No joke. Pretty amazing. It really was - i was surprised when i drove through it because it was so fast (as you say a couple of miles) and so dramatic (11 degrees when i drove through) Winds have really picked up but its still really foggy out
WidreMann
Why are we again under a WWA? The temps are still rising and the precip is almost gone.
Solak
Chuckling at the 'tenth of an inch or less" rainfall forecast. It's been coming down pretty good for the last hour. Don't have the inner cylinder in though - took it out to capture the faux snow.
NEGa
Why are we again under a WWA? The temps are still rising and the precip is almost gone. I wondered that myself. Nws says it's for black ice but it's 53 here, its going to have to drop an awful lot to get to freezing

Solak
Quite pleased with the over performance of this system precip-wise. Ended up with .74" yesterday, and .79" for the event. A good portion of this came with that late evening band. 34° this AM with no trace of yesterday's snow/ice.
Amos83
Wow, anyone driving around the Davidson/Huntersville/Concord area in N.CLT be careful! There is a good bit of black ice out this morning. I actually had a harder time getting to work today than yesterday!
NC_hailstorm
Up to 45.5 at noon, may get close to 50 today. After being in the 30's the last couple weeks this feels pretty warm but still below normal. I've seen snow 3 times already this month and that's not bad for piedmont areas.
Tullioz
Doesn't look like I will be reaching the low 40's as expected today. My current temperature is still only 33.8 at 3:30pm which has been my high temperature so far. Amazing how close the mid 40's are to the West.
