Cfa
It's super pouring in SE Queens. I don't think I've ever seen a downpour of this intensity have rain fall straight down at a 90 degree angle, it looks fake.

SACRUS
As droughts go, I never really considered this a 'true drought'. Agreed, especially considering how wet it was aug - oct (a few seasons worth of rain). Its also follows recent trends of dry period followed by a quick catch up and then some. SO far this hasnt been the excessive deluges we have seen.

I'd say saturday may be the best (least wet most potential sun) day of the weekend. Dont think either sun or mon are washouts but clouds could spoil a beach day. The thing is you just dont know - like today parts of the jersey shore were mostly sunny for a good portion of the day.
ag3
JFK was the winner of the latest round of showers. .40" of rain in under an hour.
NYCSuburbs
The western end of the early afternoon NYC storms produced heavy rain and some thunder here, although nothing came out of the evening round. Hopefully Tuesday and/or Wednesday's storm potential verifies with widespread activity, the last few days have been active but the storms were mostly localized. I have been at the air show every day they have ever had it and it is extremely rare for them to cancel the whole show. (yes the smaller trick planes cant fly in low ceilings) But the blue Angles certainly can in fact the practiced yesterday morning in awful conditions.
