bluewave
Even though the updated GFS on the right set to go operational tomorrow was too far south with the heaviest rains, I'll give it some points for at least being wetter than the op.

ag3
More in the form of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Maybe a severe threat depending on instability? Looks like an organized area of rain with embedded convection.
Brian5671
Looks like an organized area of rain with embedded convection. that would suck. Hopefully it changes...it is the GFS so I expect a completely different solution by 0z

psv88
Pretty ridiculous rains in western nassau around 1215...was dry in central nassau in jericho, drove west to manhasset, was pouring from the wantagh on west, a deluge with roads under water. Drove back east of the wantagh and it had not rained much. Classic training and it was a beauty to see and drive through.

ag3
Euro is pretty ugly for Thursday and Friday. All day light rain with occasional heavier bursts, especially Friday. Saturday looks dry and also Sunday morning before an organized round of rain moves in Sunday afternoon.

ag3
How does it look temp wise for Sat and beyond? Saturday looks dry and warm. Sunday looks mostly dry with afternoon rain/tstorms Monday looks mostly dry as well, again with afternoon convection.
ag3
Hottest temps on the euro are Monday through Wednesday of next week. Easy upper 80's to mid 90's. Weekend looks like low to mid 80's.
stormspotterlive
I would think the GFS and the euro meet in the middle on timing of the weekend convection. Could get rather interesting as we get closer to the event might warrant some localized flash flooding with heavier thunderstorms.
Isotherm
Scratch my last post, total here was actually 1.81" thus far. Not bad. 3.8" on the month, but still about -7 for the year in terms of precip (only 11.7" year to date).
Isotherm
BTW, those of you who have the DVP2, my outdoor temp/hum readings have been displaying as dashed lines periodically over the past month. I'm thinking I may have to order another temp/hum sensor.

I'm thinking I may have to order another temp/hum sensor. Definitely sounds like a defective Temp/Hum sensor. I am sure you tried the drain the ISS transmitter route & make sure connection on transmitter board is fine. Then reconnect and power back up transmitter. I had your issue with DVP1 before upgrading years ago to the DVP2! Time to call up Davis and have them send you a new one and send back the old one. stormspotterlive
More bands on the eastern portions of mount holly radar in the ocean trying to head towards the NYC area the new 18z GFS does have more moderate to heavy bands for the NYC area should be interesting. I would say if strong enough due to the rain fall this morning flash flooding could be an issue for tomorrow mornings commute.
