Beautiful light show with the cells moving down I-70 through Washington County. Had the whole family sitting in the yard watching the past 20 minutes. Lots of CG bolts. Amazing skies, with the bonus of being able to see the back side of the cell to the south.

Looks like you are going to get hit with that development just to your west.

Yep. It really blew up just to my west. Moving in here now. Third one of the day counting this a.m.

maybe some small hail but nothing major. nice looking structure on the storms tho.

Good stuff, Ian. That image portrays well the clouds we were seeing. I'm due N of the Martinsburg logo in the first shade of blue.

1/4" to 1/2" hail with some "accumulation" on mulched areas and along pavement edges. 1.10" of rain in 15 minutes. Nice kickoff to May.

mostly clear and hot to your southwest with a spectacular sunset wrapping up as I type this, I watered this evening and need some rain here in WV.

I think tomorrow morning will be about the 10th in the last two weeks I've dumped the Cocorahs gauge. You got hot early this year and have been consistently warmer than here most of the warm days.

Your turn may come soon enough as any season with storms as the primary rain source will certainly leave many dry.

Sounds like a fun evening there for sure, enjoy it.

Just fans on here so far (no AC until June please?) this is to warm for my comfort and preference this early in May.

I'm with ya on that. When I see you and Teays getting hot before I do in the spring, I fear its gonna be a Smokies ridge summer. Those get real dry real fast.

edit: And its pouring again here now.
