MN Transplant
Washington blvd about a quarter mile east of east falls church metro. Lighting is still striking close. Hail has stopped but it's pouring pretty good. Gonna be a nice drive around the beltway later. Very cool. I'm no dual-pol expert, but it looks like the 88d picked it up pretty well. DC Mike
Just over an inch here in Columbia Heights within the past hour. Pretty intense at times with the rain rates...5.49 p/h max. Sump pump humming away
wxmeddler
Very cool. I'm no dual-pol expert, but it looks like the 88d picked it up pretty well. It was hard to tell, It looked like a mix of small hail and heavy rain based on the signature but I thought those small hail signals were ground clutter signals poking through the rain since the storm was so close to the radar. mattie g
Missed out here (though we scored last night), but some of these cells look nasty!
Bob Chill
I inspected the hail. It was unusually clear. Cell must have sucked up some distilled water before dumping it on Arlington.

mattie g
Loop for posterity. Cool. That thing blew up just to my NNE. I got about 30 seconds of huge drops, then stopped on a dime.
TradeWinds
3peat. At least they have a little more movement this time. Agreed. Typical Frederick split though. Looks like we'll get a couple light showers but main stuff to our east went North and the MoCo stuff went South. The third option is they dissipate before arriving. mattie g
Some pretty intense-looking stuff just off to my WSW, but building towards the ENE.
