caviman2201
so what are our chances of anything interesting in the next 24-36hrs? HRRR says no dice for the rest of tonight... SPC says no dice tomorrow... NAM doesn't look too impressive for tomorrow... ... but LWX says showers and tstorms likely tomorrow/tomorrow night... stormitecture
I hate this. I need to finish putting a roof (shingles) on the shed project before I leave for chasing. It only stops at night...and I can't be nailing at 11pm at night (I live in a tight proximity townhome community). less than two days to departure....oh yeah. Now 1.40" total since 7 a.m. and moderate rain still falling. Some water is ponding on roads in my area. Closing in on 5.00" for May.

WVclimo
Flash flood warning out for Manassas area. Training showers have dumped 2-3" there with 1-3" additional before it diminishes later tonight per LWX.
MN Transplant
Feels like a rain forest out there, but we are still negative month-to-date on precipitation at DCA.

marked8
I got woken up just after midnight with very loud thunder and my power went off for a few minutes. Apparently I was under the worst of it.
Avdave
Flash flood warning out for Manassas area. Training showers have dumped 2-3" there with 1-3" additional before it diminishes later tonight per LWX. Was surprised with a nice Thunderstorm and lightning event last night around 11pm or so, rain came down hard. So far since midnight here we've gotten .44" rain. Yard is like a sponge, very squishy out there. Over an inch easily the last 36 hours or so. Some road washouts have been spotted in Prince William county like this in Nokesville, VA
North Balti Zen
Looks like radar getting active back in SW Virginia and the afternoon storms advertised may actually eventually make it into the DCA and BWI areas.

RodneyS
High 90's for Tuesday? Weather.com still has DC topping out at 88 on Saturday, with only 85 on Tuesday.
MN Transplant
High 90's for Tuesday? Probably a bit aggressive. That is record high territory.
yoda
Probably a bit aggressive. That is record high territory. Depends on if we get full sun... I would say low 90s is good bet right now Sat-Tues. Did see LWX state in their AFD that weekend could be active in PA (I guess storm-wise)... wouldn't mind to see a complex come in after a hot day

WVclimo
tremendous constant lightning to my west and north. don't know if the line will hold together past the Alleghenies though. The precip is kinda oozing this way now. Been outside getting a nice show for the last hour. I ended up with 1.53" yesterday and last night. Third time this month I've been in the right spot, and I'm about 2" above MRB and HGR for the month.

TradeWinds
I wonder if they get busted up going over the Catoctins... Storms out of NW are never good for Frederick proper. Carroll County and East to Baltimore usually do better when they reform. Not sure how DC and SE do with these types of setup.
