..SUMMARY OF TORNADO IN AUMSVILLE OREGON OF DECEMBER 14 2010

A COLD LOW PRESSURE TROUGH MOVED INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST EARLY

TUESDAY USHERING AN UNSTABLE AIR MASS AND GENERATING SHOWERS AND

SOME THUNDERSTORMS. A SMALL DISTURBANCE MOVING IN THE COLD TROUGH

TRIGGERED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR AUMSVILLE...SOUTHEAST OF SALEM

OREGON...WHICH A WARNING WAS ISSUED FOR AT 1153 AM. SHORTLY AFTER A

TORNADO WAS REPORTED FROM THIS THUNDERSTORM. A TORNADO WARNING WAS

ISSUED AT 1202 PM.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STORM SURVEY REPORT INCLUDES...

TWO INJURIES. ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE RATING OF EF2 WITH

ESTIMATED WIND SPEEDS 110 TO 120 MPH.

FIFTY STRUCTURES DAMAGED, THIRTY OR MORE LARGE TREES BLOWN DOWN

OR SNAPPED OFF, FIVE SHEDS DAMAGED, TWO SEMI TRAILERS

TIPPED. ESTIMATED LENGTH OF 5 MILES AND WIDTH OF 150 YARDS. IT

APPEARS THE TORNADO WAS NOT ON THE GROUND CONTINUOUSLY BUT

LIFTED UP AND TOUCHED BACK DOWN.
