hm8 Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 Well that was unexpectedly cool. The MCS was progressing pretty weirdly through MI. The northern end was building southward with individual clusters, and the west end was moving east more like a traditional squall line. The northern end initially managed to sorta slide by me with it barely even raining. But then it retrograded back northward and hit me the same time the west side of the line hit me. Got some extremely torrential rain at one point, although it didn't last long. The thunder almost constant. After the rain let up, I was able to just stand and look up and see some of the most incredible cloud-cloud lightning I've witnessed. It was just spidering across the sky in the coolest ways.
