michsnowfreak
Nice day today. Per a nearby wunderground station, temp here soared from a low of 47.3F to a high of 82.5F, a rise of 35.2F which is the greatest diurnal range of any day this year so far. At DTW, they maxed at 82F and somehow managed a low of only 51F, even though every single station surrounding them on all sides NSEW was in the 40s. During the winter, some started referring to snowfall that quickly melted in a few days as "stat-padding" snowfall...I think Im going to start referring (mostly in jest of course) to the high/low temp as "stat-padding" degrees at DTW on these ever-so-frequent days when DTWs high and/or low seems unusually high compared to every other thermometer in the area
Chicago Storm
Nice looking mammatus off to the NW, associated with the line moving in.
BeastFromTheEast
That won't verify...granted it has its own boundary layer parameterizations separate from the GFS, but it was still initialized off the GFS...which was grossly overdoing moisture this afternoon. Hmm... Looks like the NMM turned out to be pretty darn close..

BeastFromTheEast
one of the most lulz warned lines in a long time. It looks really lame/tame on radar but still got a pretty nice gust with that warned line..

Geos
I managed .02" of rain from that line. Mainly wind gusts and a cool down is about all it did here! Pneumonia front sliding down the lake past Sheboygan right now.
wisconsinwx
Warning for Milwaukee. Although I got a good look at clouds building, with no access to computer I had no idea what was going on, we did get a good bit of rain though. Surprised that we got a warning when mets were predicting a slight chance of anything popping up whatsoever.
Justin
the anvil/mammatus shots were of the storm in Henry County IL just a little bit ago.

Geos
Pneumonia front moving down the western shores of Lake Michigan - entering northern Milwaukee County now. Temperatures falling off into the mid 50s behind it. Nice pictures Joe! Didn't see anything quite like that here.
cyclone77
I took a few mobile shots but they weren't that great. Where I was we got largely missed by the cells. Got glanced by one, but even it sent through some 40+mph wind gusts. My dad in the qc said he had some strong gusts probably up near 50mph. No measurable rain at my house. hawkeye_wx
Maxed out at 88 here this afternoon before the line of clouds moved in. We got off/on sprinkles for a while, then some gusty wind and brief downpour before it ended. May 3rd was the last time we got any real rain. frostfern
I filmed some lightning in Ottowa county. High based cells with lots of pretty cloud-to-cloud lightning and some wind, maybe 35-40 mph. Storms are pretty much done now.

turtlehurricane
Hey turtle? Is this your 1st summer around the lakes? When did you move from Florida? Yup, my first summer not going back to Florida. I first moved to Wisconsin at the end of summer 09.
aurora
I filmed some lightning in Ottowa county. High based cells with lots of pretty cloud-to-cloud lightning and some wind, maybe 35-40 mph. Storms are pretty much done now. I can already see the lightning to my NW, even though the actual storms are still 50 miles away. Don't think I'm going to stay up for when they come through, there will undoubtedly be better storms as early as this weekend. The lightning is nice though, that alone makes today an overachiever relative to my expectations.
