700 PM CDT MON APR 30 2012

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...

NORTHEASTERN KIOWA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS...

* UNTIL 730 PM CDT

* AT 658 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED

VERY STRONG ROTATION ASSOCIATED WITH A CONFIRMED TORNADO 2 MILES

SOUTHEAST OF GREENSBURG. THIS TORNADIC STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 20

MPH. GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL IS ALSO EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...

HAVILAND AND WELLSFORD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TO REPEAT...A TORNADO IS CONFIRMED WITH THIS STORM. TAKE COVER NOW.

MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING.

AVOID WINDOWS. IF IN A MOBILE HOME...A VEHICLE OR OUTDOORS...MOVE TO

THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING

DEBRIS.

It went just South-East of Greensburg... TOG 2 Miles Southeast of Greensburg per the TWC/ Law Enforcement.

That was 2 miles Southwest, the storm is now ENE of Greensburg. Nothing touched down in Greensburg. Never mind, I'm wrong, about the SW, lol.

I'm still interested to see these storms move into W OK. Those cells just east on KAMA are moving into the best parameters around.

Looking at the NAM over the past couple of days, I figured if anything did fire down there, it would have a good chance of exploding.

4 MILES WEST OF JET. THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...

GREAT SALT PLAINS LAKE.

I think the ones in the TX Panhandle are going to become rather nasty over the next couple hours as the LLJ strengthens and LCL heights lower, RUC has some extremely impressive parameters developing later on around the Eastern TX Panhandle.
